If you think you might be the best harness handicapper in western New York, Buffalo Raceway is hosting its 2008 Harness Handicapping Contest, every Saturday in April, with the winner moving on to the National Harness Handicapping Contest (NHHC) at the Meadowlands in June.
The top five finishers at Buffalo each week will compete in the Buffalo Raceway' Harness Handicapping Contest Final on Saturday, May 10. The Grand Prize Winner will get bragging rights for the year and receive an all-expense paid trip to compete in the National Harness Handicapping Championship at the Meadowlands, including transportation, hotel, entry fee and spending cash. Second, third, fourth and fifth place finishers will receive cash prizes.
The National Harness Handicapping Championship will bring together the top handicappers from across the country to compete for the $50,000 Grand Prize. Players may earn their way into the June championship through participation in a qualifying tournament at an NHHC partner outlet or by direct buy-in.
Last year Ken Fierle, represented Buffalo Raceway and finished fifth at the NHHC.
Contestants for the Buffalo event should arrive at The Clubhouse by 6 pm to allow time for registration. Entry is only $20 for the contests. For more information visit buffaloraceway.com or call Art at 716-864-2594. (Buffalo Raceway)
