Artis View takes final

Artist View, an early leader from post 10, pulled from the pocket in the lane and swept past Be Bad Bill and captured the $90,400 Jr. Trendsetter Series final by one-half length in 1:52.1 Saturday night at the Meadowlands. Spin Rate was another half-length back in third.

Driven by George Brennan from post 10, Artist View was the fourth different leader in the :27.4 first quarter, then he gave way to Be Bad Bill and Cat Manzi who took the field past the half in :56.1, the three quarters in 1:25.3 and into the lane. Then Brennan tipped the 3-year-old Artsplace colt out for the brush to the wire. Spin Rate found room late to get up for third.

Buzzy Sholty trains the winner for owners DM Stables LLOC and William Rufenacht. This was the third win of the year in four starts for Artist View, who has four wins in six career starts.
