Lloyd Arnold's Valley Sport ($3.60, Tony Morgan) made his Harrington Raceway debut a successful one Wednesday with a 1:58 triumph in the $24,000 Open Trot. The 4-year-old Valley Victor gelding commanded the lead approaching the quarter and held pocket-sitting Safari Heat safe for a two-length win. Put Them On Hold was third. It was the seventh win of the year for Valley Sport, who has made more than $134,000 this year. It was one of three wins on the program for Morgan. Earlier on the card, ageless veteran Stormont Northstar ($4.80) won his 28th career race at Harrington in 2:02. He has won more races at Harrington than any trotter in track history. The 13-year-old Brisco Hanover gelding is owned by Bob Stevenson and J&E Stable. (Harrington)
