Tracking pacesetter Day After Day the entire mile, Missthrill ($46.60) again proved her affinity for an off track, scoring in her division of the Delaware County late-closer for pacing mares at Harrah's Chester on a snowy Wednesday afternoon.

The 8-year-old JB Stena mare left alertly before yielding the lead to Day After Day (Cat Manzi) on the first turn. She would follow the pacesetter through split times of :27.1, :56.1, and 1:24.2, expending much less effort than she ordinarily would on the lead.

"I knew that (Day After Day) was one of the favorites, and she got a pretty good jump off the wings," said winning driver Anthony Coletta. "Today, when I had her in the pocket, she seemed like she wanted to go."

Through the far turn, The Queen Of Trash (Andy Miller) was on level terms with Missthrill momentarily, but faded back through the field.

Coletta now had room to angle Missthrill out of the pocket, taking the lead mid-stretch. "She was going pretty well; I was just waiting for clearance," added Coletta. "She felt strong the whole mile."

Ireneonthemove (Tony Morgan), after saving ground the entire mile, charged up the open stretch, but could only come within a neck of the winner, who stopped the timer in 1:53.1. Day After Day held third.

"When the track is wet or muddy, she seems to get a good grip of the track," Coletta quipped of Missthrill's ability to handle an off track. "She felt nice and relaxed the whole way."

Missthrill is owned by John Lyddy of Yonkers, N.Y., and trained by Richard Befarah.

Other division winners in the Delaware County were Molly Darling N (1:53.1, Manzi), Ulrica Bromac N (1:53.3, Morgan), and Binions (1:53.4, Morgan).

Three divisions of the Constitution were also contested, with Fox Valley Armor (Yannick Gingras) taking the fastest split of the day in 1:53.1.

Ultimate Pursuit N (Daniel Dube) and The General (Rick Pantano) also won their division, both pacing the mile in 1:54.3. (Harrah's Chester)
