March 29, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Offspring of Badlands Hanover dominated the two $15,000 divisions of the first leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) at Dover Monday night, taking five of the top six placings.

In the first division of the first leg for 3-year-old colts and geldings, He's Personal (Jim Morand) took the lead before the half and eked out a win by a head over Badlands And Art (Ben Stafford Jr.) in 1:54.1. Fellow Badlands Hanover son Tandar Hanover (Art Stafford Jr.) was third.

He's Personal is owned by Lester Walls and Jack Upchurch and is trained by Wayne Whitson Jr.

In the second division, Badlands brothers Badlands Come Home (Tony Morgan) and Lather Machine (Eddie Davis Jr.) finished 1-2 in 1:54.1. Tug River Claude (Brad Hanners) was third.

Badlands Come Home is owned by Lloyd Arnold and is trained by Josh Green.

Of the twelve starters between the two divisions, 10 were by Badlands Hanover.

Humminbird N defended her Fillies and Mares Junior Open title with a personal season's-best 1:52.3 win.

Driven by Ross Wolfenden, Humminbird N sat chilly in the pocket behind weekly rival Yada Yada Yada A (Jim Morand) before getting up in the stretch to win again by a neck in the $20,000 feature. Tawny (Brad Hanners) grabbed third.

Humminbird N is owned by Tim Hundertpfund and Joe Colosi and trained by Joe Hunderptfund Jr. The 6-year-old import has made $47,450 this year.
