Carter and Helen Duer are pleased to announce that Jim Barry has joined their staff at Peninsula Farm in Lexington, Ky. "We needed someone with Jim’s background and experience so when he became available we hired him," said Carter Duer. "I’ve known Jim for many years. He has worked in just about every aspect of harness racing from cleaning stalls to selling some of the highest priced yearlings at the sales. Here at Peninsula Farm he will be coordinating the sale of horses for both public and private sales.”
For several years Barry enjoyed training and racing horses in Illinois with his father and brother. From 1977 thru 1984 he owned and operated The Standardbred Exchange Sales Company in Illinois. During the 80s while he was with Andy Grant’s Bradford Bloodstock in New York he was in charge of representing numerous clients at major yearling and mixed sales. For the past last 18 years he has lived in Colorado while owning and racing several horses during that time.
Call Jim at (502) 863-6742 with any questions regarding public and private sales and he will be happy to assist you with entries or marketing. (Peninsula Farm)
