The 2006 Woodrow Wilson winner Fox Valley Barzgar won a qualifier at Maywood Park Thursday, drawing clear to a 6 3/4-length victory for trainer-driver Tom Harmer in 1:56.2. It was the first appearance for the 3-year-old son of Incredible Finale since a pair of qualifying efforts at Pompano Park in April.
Fox Valley Barzgar has been out of action due to a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract, according to Harmer. The colt is expected to make his 2007 debut in the Chicago Stakes at Hawthorne June 23 after his gate-to-wire, Thursday qualifying effort that saw him post fractions of :28.2 :57.4 and 1:27.2.
