September 10, 2006 | Print View

Fox Valley Barzgar had no problems winning his elimination for the Orange & Blue final at Balmoral Park Sept. 16, as he romped to a 6 1/2-length victory Saturday night in 1:52. The victory sets up a showdown with the undefeated Home Bed Advantage who was a 1:50.1 winner by 2 1/2 lengths over Glass Pack.

Dave Magee was in the bike as Fox Valley Barzgar (Incredible Finale) won his sixth in a row and seventh in eight starts this year for trainer Tom Harmer and owner Michael Polansky. For Homebed Advantage (Cole Muffler), driven by Ryan Anderson, it was his fourth triumph in as many starts for trainer David McCaffrey and owners the MJGB Racing Stables and McCaffrey.

Other Orange & Blue elim winners were The Quiet Mon (Richess Hanover) in 1:51.2 for Jason Dillander and Gotta Go Moe (Incredible Finale) in 1:53.2 for Andy Miller.

In an elimination for the Pete Langley 3-year-old colt and gelding pace final, Thisbigdogwilfight (The Big Dog) and Brent Holland overtook My Boy David at the wire in 1:49.2. Fox Valley Cruiser (Richess Hanover) won his Langley elim in 1:51.1.

In two other eliminations of note, Street Dancer (Richess Hanover) and Free (Armbro Mackintosh) won their Grandma Ann eliminations for 3-year-old filly pacers in 1:51.1 and 1:52.1, respectively.
