Battleshoe Victor ($5) was able to lead from start to finish in capturing the $16,000 Open Handicap Trot at the Trained by Tom Harmer and driven to victory by Anthony Napolitano, Battleshoe Victor just held the field at bay the entire one-mile race, winning by 1 1/4 lengths over Farmer Jones (Kevin Wallis) and Catamount N (Wally Hennessey). It was the first win this year and the 27th career victory for Michael Polansky’s Battleshoe Victor, who is a 7-year-old gelding by Valley Victor. (Pompano Park)
