Baximum, with Corey Callahan in the sulky, scored a wire-to-wire victory in the opening division of the W.N. Reynolds Memorial for 3-year-old trotting colts on Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The 3-year-old Cantab Hall trotter, trained by Jonas Czernyson, was almost seven lengths ahead of the second-place finisher, Nightime Flash (Mike Simons) with a new life mark of 1:54.2. This marked the second win in seven starts in 2010 for Baximum. Third in this division was Thors Hammer (Andrew McCarthy).

MM’s Lucky Boy (Simons), a 6-1 shot, captured the second division with a 1:55.3 effort. This was the first win this season for MM’s Lucky Boy, who was making his seventh start of 2010. Roland Mallar trains MM’s Lucky Boy.

Tempest De vie (Frode Fladen), a 60-1 longshot, finished second behind MM’s Lucky Boy with third-place going to 2-1 Jetblue Volo, who led most of the way from the eight post.

The final division for the 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters was won by 2-5 favorite Red Light (Jim Morrill Jr.). Red Light, trained by Erv Miller, was a winner in 1:56.3. Second in this race was Tough Call (George Napolitano Jr.) with third-place going to Can’t Lose (Corey Callahan). This marked the sixth win in 10 starts for Red Light, trained by Erv Miller.

Trainer Ron Burke and catch-driver Matt Kakaley collected two Reynolds Memorial splits for 2-year-old pacing fillies. The wins came with Hasty Pulse (1:53.4) and Foxy Lady (1:56).

Driver Napolitano Jr. also took two divisions of the 2-year-old filly pace with  MothermayI Hanover (1:54.3) and McAce Of Arts (1:53.2). McAce Of Arts, trained by Ross Claridge, had the fastest time of the five divisions for the 2-year-old filly pacers. Luis Porfilio owns and trains MothermayI Hanover.

Show And Tell, trained by Jim Campbell and driven by Jason Bartlett, won the opening division for the 2-year-old pacing fillies in 1:55.4. (Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs)
