B Cor Kenny returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since November 17, 2006, when prevailing in Wednesday’s featured $7,200 claiming trot at Pompano Park in 1:57.3. Starting from post two with Dan Daley at the lines, B Cor Kenny settled nicely in third place as Modern Marvel (Terry Eichas) marched on the lead through opening fractions of :28.2 and :58.1. As the trotters made their journey down the backstretch, B Cor Kenny was angled off the pylons to begin a prolonged first-over assault, grinding away at Modern Marvel as that one reached the three-quarters marker in 1:27.2. Modern Marvel entered the lane with a 1 1/2-length advantage, but had no answer for the persistent onslaught of B Cor Kenny, who grabbed the lead in mid-stretch and continued to pull clear of his rivals in the final yards to score by 11/4 lengths. B Cor Kenny returned $8.20, $4.00, and $2.20 for the victory. Heikki (Andy Santeramo) paid $6.20 and $2.20 for second, while Pink Wind (Anthony Napolitano) brought in $2.40 for third. Owned by Michael White of Lake Worth, and trained by Daley, B Cor Kenny is a 12-time winner from 63 lifetime starts with career earnings of $178,793.The 7-year-old gelding is an Ontario-bred son of King Conch, out of the Dream of Glory mare B Cor Jenny.
