April 01, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Beach Nut Brand [$74.20, $37.20, $14.20] took control of the lead in the stretch and trotted strong to the wire to upset the field and capture the $50,000 second round of the Su Mac Lad Series by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.1.

CR Dream Catcher [$7.20, $5.20] finished second and it was two lengths back to Likeabatoutahell [$13.60] in third.

Driven by Daniel Dube and trained by Mark Harder, Beach Nut Brand posted his fourth win in his ninth start of the year for owners Stable 45 of Hauppauge, New York and Scott Kurzrok of Bryn Mahwh, Pennsylvania.

The Su Mac Lad series concludes with an estimated $100,000 final on Sunday, April 15.
