Beeyouuuuuu had not started since finishing third to Art Official in the Hoosier Cup, but showed that he was ready to roll in his Ohio Sires Stakes victory at Scioto Downs on Saturday night. The son of Yankee Cruiser won by five lengths in 1:50.1, missing the track mark by one tick of the watch. The track mark was set at 1:50 by Gallo Blue Chip in 2000. Beeyouuuuuu was driven by Bran Hanners for trainer Bill Walters and owner Dale Walters of Delaware. Raps Big Guy was second and Mai Tai Guy finished third. Other OSS pacing divisions went to Southern Comfort (1:53) for driver Kyle Ater over Thunder Cruise and Zachary Lou and Real Town Guy (1:52) for Ater and trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr. over Valentowner and Snow Storm Sam.. The trotting events on the Ohio Sires Stakes schedule on Saturday went to favored Looking To Score and 40-1 longshot Sand Wyndham. Looking To Score did indeed score by 6-1/2 lengths in 1:57.1 for driver Aaron Merriman, trainer John R. Melsheimer, and the Mel Rose Stable. The son of Ilooklikemymom took control early in the mile and won over Bologna and Chips Of Troy. Sand Wyndham pursued a much different path to the winner's circle, starting from post 10 and being well back for most of the mile. The son of Pegasus Spur was sixth at the head of the stretch, then zoomed to win in 1:56.2 by 1-1/2 lengths over Master Can Sizzle and Sunland Dakota.
