Big Jim and driver Phil Hudon established a 1:51.1 record in the $50,000 Dream Maker Pacing Series final tonight at Mohawk Racetrack and marks him as the fastest two-year-old in North America.

The son of Western Ideal left from post one and settled away in sixth as the field past the opening quarter in :27.

Neptune Blue Chup and driver Jack Moiseyev cleared to the lead from post eight and controlled the pace as the field headed towards the half.

All Summer Long and driver Paul MacDonell then challenged Neptune Blue Chip for the lead and Rock To Glory then cleared past All Summer Long as the field hit the half in :55.4.

Heavily favored Up The Credit and driver Jody Jamieson committed first over with Phil Hudon and Big Jim following the heavy favourite.

As the field hit the three-quarters in 1:23.4 Up The Credit and Rock To Glory battling for the lead with Big Jim a length behind.

As the freshman pacers headed for home, Up The Credit and Jamieson took command but could not hold of a late challenge from Big Jim.

Big Jim won by three-quarters of a length over Up the Credit with Rock To Glory finishing third.

Big Jim paid $12.00 for owner James Carr and now has $31,920 for his freshman campaign.(WEG)
