Drivers Richard Silverman, Daniel Dube and Ron Pierce were transported to Hackensack University Medical Center following an accident that unseated six drivers in the second race Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.

The accident occurred early in the race when Four Starzz Lefty stumbled to the ground, tossing George Brennan out of the sulky.  Dube (Native Run), Brian Sears (Art's Shadow), Eric Goodell (Keystone Neptune), Pierce (Most Happy Dragon) and Silverman (Sensationalist) were unseated in the chain reaction that followed.

"I could feel my horse getting rough-gaited, and then he just went down," Brennan said.

Silverman and Dube were immediately taken to the hospital, while Pierce was later sent for x-rays on a sore shoulder.  Brennan and Goodell returned to the sulky for the remainder of the Friday night card.  After winning the third race, Sears opted off the rest of his drives due to bruising on his arm.

Four Starzz Lefty sustained all-over lacerations from his fall to the ground, while Keystone Neptune was treated for a severe cut on his lower right front leg.  Native Run suffered minor contusions, while the remaining horses, Art's Shadow, Most Happy Dragon and Sensationalist, were uninjured.  All six horses are expected to resume their racing careers, but must qualify before they return to the track.
