With a strong crowd on hand at the Meadowlands, total handle for the 14-race Meadowlands Pace night card on Saturday night was $4,431,546, an increase of 5.2 percent over last year's figure of $4,212,998. Betting on the Meadowlands Pace alone was $624,347.
This year's card had one more race. The last race on the card was one of the best bet of the night with handle of $261,482, which gave the track its boost over 2009.
