Opening-day numbers at the slots parlor at The Meadows have been announced by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and it shows that $8,637,964 was sent through the 1,738 machines during the 15-hour period it was open on Monday. The site was reportedly completely full from 3 p.m. until midnight.

Comparing opening-day numbers at other Pennsylvania sites, Harrah's Chester produced a toal of $913,976 in operator revenue at its Jan. 23 opening, while Presque Isle Downs Thoroughbred track produced $809,394 at its Feb. 28 opening. Harrah's has 2,744 slot machines and Presque Isle has 2,000 slot machines. The Meadows opening generated higher numbers than both Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and Philadelphia Park Thoroughbred track.
