Three featured paces at Dover Downs Monday night yielded three tight finishes, with Black Cat Bone (Ron Pierce) winning the fastest with a 1:51.4 score in the $32,000 Delaware Special.

Black Cat Bone, a 9-year-old gelded son of Sportsmaster, led through fractions of :26.4, :56.2, and 1:24.1. He nosed out a game Build a Fire (Brandon Givens), who raced first over most of the mile. Clinton Debriefed (Brian Sears) closed in :26.1 to nab third by a neck.

Black Cat Bone is owned and trained by Erika Paradee.

In the $35,000 Preferred Handicap, Casimir Bad Boy (Eddie Davis Jr.) circled the field to win by a nose in 1:52.1.

The 7 year old was sitting sixth at the three quarters before bounding home in :26.4 for owner Gary Wolf and trainer Don Kozlaski.

The win is the second of 2006 for the $238,976-earning son of Make a Deal.

Mark's Secret Love (Tony Morgan) held on for second over Noble Tess (Brian Sears).

Beware Beret and Ross Wolfenden won by a length in 1:52.3 in the $26,000 Open Handicap.

The 6-year-old son of Green Beret won for owner-trainer J.P. Callahan, tying his lifetime mark. The win was the first since March 2005 for the 20-1 longshot.

Primary Colours N (Eddie Davis Jr.) came from last to nose out Crystal Art (Jim Morand) for second.
