Blissfull Hall moving to Winbak Farm of Canada

Return Home
October 20, 2008 | Print View

Winbak Farm has announced that 1999 Pacing Triple Crown winner Blissfull Hall p,3,1:49.2 ($1,468,648) will be coming home to stand in Ontario for the 2009 breeding season.

Owned by Daniel Plouffe of Bedford, Que., Blissfull Hall, the 12-year-old son of Cambest that has been standing in Pennsylvania, will be coming home to where he began his career with trainer Ben Wallace. In 31 career starts, the O'Brien Award-winning conditioner watched his pupil race to a record of 19-4-6, finishing off the board just twice.

In addition to his victories in the Cane Pace, Little Brown Jug and Messenger Stakes, Blissfull Hall also recorded wins in the American National and Simcoe Stakes.

Blissfull Hall will be standing for a fee of $4,000(C).

"Blissfull Hall is, by far, the fastest horse I've ever trained. His number one quality was pure speed, and he sires the same kind of speed. The kind of speed that will definitely stand up in Ontario," said Wallace.

"In the barn and on the track, he always did everything that we ever asked of him -- he was the perfect horse."

Blissfull Hall is the sire of top 2008 two-year-olds Arctic Warrior and Melissas Fancy. He also sired Metro Pace winner Camelot Hall, Mistletoe Shalee winner Armbro Dancer, millionaire Marnie Hall and Mohawk Racetrack 3-year-old track record holder Blissed Out.

Blissfull Hall's progeny have earned $29 million. He has sired 92 horses that have gone on to earn more than $100,000 on track; 101 horses that have paced in 1:53; and eight that have paced in 1:50. (Winbak Farm)
