Bliss in Jersey Girls

Jim Morrill Jr. had quite a night at the Meadowlands Wednesday, capturing the $60,000 Jersey Girls final with Follow Your Bliss and following that up with a victory behind Art's Regard, his 3000th career win.



Morrill directed Follow Your Bliss to a career-best 1:52 victory, besting runner-up Artoonist by five lengths with Theresa Hall another 2 ½ lengths back in third. It was the third win in a row for the 4-year-old daughter of Blissfull Hall trained by Mark Silva for owners Serge Masse and Joseph Lin.



"I waited on the backstretch to get the lead; I didn't want to get away fourth," said Morrill. "I waited until everyone settled down and took the top. This is the best she has been so far. She's a very consistent mare, a pretty serious horse."
