David Miller unleashed Blue Boy off cover down the stretch to take the $12,500 first leg of the Art Unger Stakes Pace Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands.

David Miller scored his third win in the day's tenth and final race with Blue Boy in 1:52.1. Harrah’s Best finished 1 3-4 lengths behind in second and Golden Receiver was third. Blue Boy paid $6.00, $4.20, and $2.40.

Owned by the Mack Stables LLC, Blue Boy boosted his career earnings to more than $60,000. Blue Boy has now won 3 out of 4 starts in 2009 for trainer Julie Miller.

The Art Unger Stakes continues with a $12,500 second leg on Sunday, February 8. (Meadowlands)
