Blue Swimmer A wires Dover feature in 1:54

Blue Swimmer A was never headed in the $17,300 Delaware Male while Hevoodoothatyoudo took the $15,000 Delaware Mares pace on Saturday at Dover Downs.

Roger Plante took Blue Swimmer A right to the front at the quarter pole and never looked back en route to a 1:54 victory in the $17,300 feature race. The win was the first of the year for the Safely Kept gelding owned by The Wiz Kids Stable. Solid Hanover (Jonathan Roberts) closed well to finish second in front of Fait Accompli (Tim Curtin). The win was one of two for driver Plante.

In the $15,000 sub-feature Warren Racing Stable's Thevoodoothatyoudo won for fun as Vic Kirby pulled away in the stretch for a 6-length victory, the first in her fourth start this season. My Aunt Margaret (Jim Morand) was next with Angels And Me (Jim King) getting show money.

Kattimon rang up her second win in a row as Tony Morgan notched his third win for owners Mike and Lisa Hill and Green Racing Stable in a $15,000 Delaware 4&5-Year-Old Mares pace. Belka Hanover (Art Stafford Jr.) closed along the passing lane to finish second. Race favorite Art Sizzles (Eddie Davis Jr.) had to settle for third.

Eddie and Kathy Davis' Dream Wave made his first start in two seasons a winning one as Jonathan Roberts guided the Dream Away eight-year-old to victory in 1:54.3 for trainer Martin Davis at 6-1 odds in a $10,700 Delaware pace. Deep Pockets N (Mike Cole) finished second with Driven By You (Jason Lynch) taking third.

In feature trots Eric Schultz's pacing bred Twelve Seventeen got up in the last stride to edge Sweet Willie (Tony Morgan) in 1:58 to win an $11,000 trot. Jack Parker Jr. guided the Falcon Future gelding home. Valdez (Tom Clendining) was third.

In another $11,000 event for diagonal gaiters, Andy Markano's Eagle Road and Tim Curtin had a head advantage at the wire in 1:59. Napoleon Andrup (Kim Vincent) had to settle for runner-up honors with Nikki's Game (Jim King) finishing third.

Star Lite Stinger, owned and trained by Duane Stoliker, grabbed the lead in front of the grandstand and led the rest of a 1:57.3 mile to score his second win in three starts in one of two $10,200 Delaware trots. It was one of three wins for Vic Kirby). Sir Pete (Jim Morand) and Wndys Dream Boy (Tony Morgan) finished second and third respectively.

Bob Stevenson and Eric Davis' 14-year-old veteran Stormont Northstar posted his second success of the year as Eddie Davis Jr. steered a 1:59.1 win. Wishwell Sugarbaby (Kim Vincent) closed strong for second with Hey Nugget (George Dennis) third. (Dover Downs)
