Tioga Downs will be giving away Yannick Gingras bobbleheads on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 2, which is also the third annual Driver’s Championship. Gingras was the co-champion along with Brian Sears of the inaugural event in 2007, but was the outright champion in 2008 by winning the final three events on the card.
“Yannick was chosen for the bobblehead giveaway this year in honor of his back-to-back championships in the event. With the Driver’s Championship and the Yannick bobblehead giveaway on that Sunday afternoon we are expecting a big crowd,” said Jason Settlemoir, vice president of racing and simulcast.
The giveaway will begin at 12 p.m. on the trackside apron and Gingras will be there as well to sign some bobbleheads. The other eight drivers for the Driver’s Championship will also be on hand for a driver meet and greet along with photos for an autograph session.
