Bobnoxious at Chester Mon.

Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack will host its first equine visitors on Monday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. when the 6-year-old pacer Bobnoxious and driver Tim Curtin traverse the beautiful, five-eighths mile riverfront oval. Bobnoxious is expected to be joined by stablemate Corporate Rrraider in a training exercise that will mark the debut of the new facility’s racing surface. Harrah’s Chester will kick off its inaugural 45-day meet on Sunday, Sept. 10, marking the return of world-class harness racing to the Delaware Valley.

Owned by Dan and Tom Courtemanche, trained by Sam Beegle, and stabled at Gingertree Farm in New Holland, Pa., Bobnoxious has accounted for 47 victories and over $750,000 in lifetime earnings.

“Bobnoxious is locally-based, has competed successfully against the best of his generation, and is a real fan favorite,” said Mike Tanner, Harrah’s Chester’s director of racing operations. “We’re flattered that he’ll be joining us to make history, and we’re thankful to Sam Beegle for sending him our way.” (Harrah’s Chester)
