U.S. Trotting Association director and trainer-driver Walter "Boots” Dunn has been moved to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Erie, Pa. following a second surgery for a broken leg sustained in a training accident on Dec. 6.
Dunn was unseated while training a yearling at the training track on his farm in Cochranton, Pa. and had the first surgery that evening to repair the leg.
Dunn's daughter, Kathy Dunn Harvey, reports that surgeons are pleased with the second surgical repair, done Dec. 9, and his progress to date.
