Yonkers Raceway offered 10 full races Thursday night, and Stephane Bouchard won half. Bouchard, in a ding-dong battle with Jason Bartlett for '08 local driving honors, wasted no time getting his picture taken. He won the $5,000 pacing opener with odds-on Electric Blanket ($3.20) in a season's-best 1:56.4. He then swept the $13.80 early daily double, taking the $9,500, second-race trot with pocket-sitting JG Lawman ($6.90) in a life-best 1:59.2. Bouchard won the $4,000, fourth-race pace with Crown Jewel ($6.80), getting off the schneid for his first win (1:57.3) in 10 seasonal starts. Proving the early double was no fluke, Bouchard disposed of the $27.60 late double when Roman Holiday ($11.20) won the co-featured $11,000, ninth-race trot (season's-best 1:57.3) and Sister Kae ($4.20) lasted in the co-featured $11,000, tenth-race pace (1:55.1). For the mare, it was her fifth consecutive victory. Yonkers offers a five-night-per-week live harness schedule, with first post every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:40 p.m. The fifth and final preliminary leg of the George Morton Levy Memorial Pacing Series goes Saturday night, with the $390,000 final scheduled for a week from Saturday night (May 3).
