Brad Kramer scored his 6,000th lifetime driving win in the seventh race at Hazel Park on Monday night, piloting Mystery Thriller to a 2 3/4-length victory in 2:00.2, which also set a new lifetime record for the 4 year-old mare trotter by Catch A Thrill out of Priority Jay Dee. It was the fourth win this year for Mystery Thriller and owner-breeder Gus Lopez; she is trained by Rick Lopez.
The $15,400 Platinum Series event for 3 year-old pacing fillies brought Kramer back to the winner’s circle following a 1:54 lifetime record-setting performance aboard Nillabomb, carving out fractional times of 28:2, 57:2 and 1:25.2. The win was the seventh this year in eight starts for the daughter of Admiral’s Galley out of the Jate Lobell mare Be A Little Lady.
Nillabomb is owned by Trifecta 246 LLC, trained by Eric Beach and was bred by Nickie Berson; she now shows lifetime earnings of $155,668 and a lifetime line of 19-15-2-0.
Kramer ended the evening with 6,001 wins, lifetime driving earnings of $24,556,082, a current year line of 1142-247-221-173 and a UDRS of .374. (MHHA)
