Western Shore, a 3-year-old pacing colt making just his third career start, turned a few heads when he won at Woodbine in 1:51 Monday night with a :26.3 last quarter. Brittany Farms, which bred the colt, was so impressed they purchased an interest in the horse from owner Ron Michelon.

“Brittany bred him and sold him as a yearling for $56,000 to Ron Michelon,” said Brittany spokesperson Myron Bell. “Erv Miller will continue to train him and we’re pointing him to the Hoosier Cup. He’s not eligible to the Meadowlands Pace or North America Cup.”

Western Shore is eligible to the Little Brown Jug. He’s a son of Western Hanover and Artomatic, a daughter of Artsplace and the million-dollar winning mare Delinquent Account.
