Broad Bahn earned speed-badge honors Wednesday afternoon at Harrah’s Chester, scoring a 1:57.2 victory in one of four Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters.

Broad Bahn led gate to wire for driver Andrew McCarthy to win the $68,740 contest by nearly three lengths. The son of Broadway Hall is trained by Noel Daley and owned by Fam Alber Horse Racing. A $20,000 yearling buy from breeder Fair Winds Farm, Broad Bahn’s second career win increased his earnings to more than $70,000.

Pilgrims All In came up a 1:58.3 winner in the first of three $68,349 PASS splits for driver David Miller and trainer Scott Andrews. The son of Broadway Hall is owned by Rodney Andrews, Edward Andrews, Pinstripe Stable and Damian Meola. The $25,000 yearling purchase from breeder Windsong Stable increased his earnings to nearly $40,000 with his first career victory.

Ray Paver directed Kash’s Cantab to a 1:58.4 victory in another $68,349 PASS division, crossing the wire 2 ¼ lengths ahead of his peers. Danny Collins trains the winning son of Cantab Hall for Wayne Zollars and Slaughter Racing Stable. The win was Kash’s Cantab’s first in five attempts, increasing his earnings to more than $45,000.

Mythical Hall, a half brother to the $600,000-winning Mythical Lindy, posted a game 1:57.3 victory in a $68,349 division for driver Mike Lachance. Jim Arledge Jr. trains the son of Andover Hall for owners Thomas York Jr. and Joe Sbrocco. Bred by Italian interests, Mythical Hall was a $100,000 yearling purchase and now has earnings of nearly that total.
