Harnessracing.com has learned that two horses owned by stables associated with Jeffrey and David Brooks were removed from the Meadowlands Pace eliminations entry box on Wednesday, July 7. Lord Terror and Western Thorn, owned by Bulletproof Enterprises, were entered in the eliminations, but because the licenses of all ownership groups affiliated with the Brooks brothers are suspended in New Jersey by the New Jersey Racing Commission, in reciprocity with the Ontario Racing Commission’s ruling of Jan. 26, 2010, those horses were declared ineligible and removed from the draw. Another Brooks-affiliated horse, the 3-year-old pacing filly I Kill Time, owned by Seize The Day Enterprises, had also been entered to race on Friday, July 9, one day before the Pace elims. That filly actually drew post six in the second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes, but will be scratched. (harnessracing.com)
