Buck I St. Pat, driven by Tim Tetrick, rallied off a second-over trip to win the $100,000 Perretti Matchmaker for trotting mares on Saturday night at the Meadowlands. In addition to the $50,000 winner’s share of the purse, Buck I St. Pat earned a free breeding to Muscles Yankee, valued at $20,000, courtesy of Perretti Farms of Cream Ridge, NJ. Trained by Mickey Burke, Buck I St. Pat nipped the pacesetter Wildfire Julie by a nose in 1:53.2. Exotic Destination closed along the inside for third. Buck I St. Pat improved her record to 31 wins in 56 starts for Howard Taylor of Penn Valley, Pa.; Edwin Gold, Wayne, Pa.; Abraham Basen of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Ron Fuller of Newark, Ohio.
