The Yannick Gingras-Ron Burke combination teamed up to sweep the three big time New York Sire Stakes races at Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Wednesday night.
Band Of Angels (Rock N Roll Heaven) matched the track record for 2-year-old pacing fillies with a wire-to-wire 1:54.4 win in the $54,500 NY Sire Stake. The victory matched the lifetime mark for the filly, who moved her career record to three-for-three with the front running score.
Burke trained fillies Sassa Hanover (Rock N Roll Heaven) and Bettor N Better (Bettor's Delight) each recorded 1:55 wins on the front end with Gingras in the sulky. Burke's trio of freshman fillies is now nine-for-nine this season as they have dominated the first month of Sire Stakes action for 2 year olds.
Live racing continues on Thursday night at Saratoga with a 7:05 pm first post. (Saratoga)
