With 31 sophomore colt pacers entered for Saturday night’s Burlington at Mohawk Racetrack, three $100,000(C) divisions will go postward with Dan Patch and O’Brien Award winner Sportswriter drawing post four in the first split. The son of Artsplace will have his work cut out for him as drawing the trio of posts inside are Malicious, Dr. Dreamy and Kyle Major.

Trainer Casie Coleman has named Mark MacDonald to drive Sportswriter, who finished second in his season debut in a May 29 overnight at Mohawk.

Rock N Roll Heaven, coming off a 1:48.3 win in the $200,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final May 29 at the Meadowlands, has landed post two in the second Burlington division. Daniel Dube will once again be in the sulky behind the son of Rocknroll Hanover for trainer Bruce Saunders.

Also in the second Burlington split is the Noel Daley-trained Ideal Matters, who has won five of eight starts this year including the Matt’s Scooter final and a NJSS division. The son of Western Ideal will have Dave Palone in the sulky. Last year’s Woodrow Wilson winner, Windfall Blue Chip, also drew into the second division with Corey Callahan driving for the George Teague Jr. Stable.

The third division appears on paper to be wide open, with Diplomat Pacing Series winner Mcaracas taking on the likes of Delaware champion Delmarvalous and Woodstock.
