Burning Point posts win

Burning Point, the 2003 Breeders Crown 3-year-old pacing filly champion and a 6-time winner in 2004, posted her first win of the 2005 season in her eighth start when she won at the Meadowlands Friday night in 1:50.3 from post eight. Glowing Report, making her '05 debut, finished off the board.



Driver John Campbell fired Burning Point to the lead in the first turn after starting from post eight, and the 5-year-old mare sired by Camluck cruised to a victory from there.



Glowing Report, with David Miller driving, was making her move from third in the stretch when she was interferred with by JEtstream Cute Cam, driven, ironically, by George Brennan, who drove Glowing Report to her Jugette and Bluegrass victories last season. Brennan will be sticking with Loyal Opposition in the mare ranks, thus Miller picked up the drive on Glowing Report.



Glowing Report finished fifth but was placed fourth. Jetstream Cute Cam finished third and was placed fifth. Hanover Chance N finished second in the race while Zintillating got moved up to third.
