Seven yearlings from the first crop by Bettor's Delight energized the opening session at Tattersalls on Wednesday night as four of them fetched prices of $115,000 or more. The seven generated an average price of slightly more than $107,000.

The sale topper was a full brother to Little Brown Jug runner-up Western Terro, who brought a bid of $200,000 from trainer Ross Croghan. The second highest price of the sale was the $170,000 paid for a Western Ideal colt out of Allamerican Indigo, the dam of this year's 2-year-old Andreoli Hanover p,2, 1:53.2. David Goodrow, acting as agent for owner Jeff Snyder, signed for the colt.

The second Tattersalls session gets underway at 7:30 Thursday night, with a third session on Friday and the final night of the sale on Saturday night, when only Walnut Hall Ltd.'s consignment will be offered.

The 95 yearlings that went through the ring brought a gross of just over $5 million for an average price of $53,095. Last year's first session generated an average of $55,634 for 93 horses.
