Carolyn Sue (Spicer) Grismore, 65, of Pandora, Ohio, died July 2 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, Ohio, after battling cancer.
Born May 25, 1949, to Robert and Dorothy Spicer in Lima, Ohio, she married the love of her life, Mark Grismore, on Feb 22, 1969, in Pandora. Together they had two children, Greg and Lori.
Mrs. Grismore spent most of her life taking care of her husband and children, cheering them on at sporting events, horse races, and musicals, but also spent 24 years working for an insurance agency. She was a member of St. John Mennonite Church. She enjoyed selling and collecting Longaberger Baskets and pottery, boating, being at the lake or the beach, decorating, spoiling her grandsons, her precious dog and companion "Molly", travel, and most importantly spending time with all of her family and friends. She was often the life of the party, always smiling, laughing, and didn't know a stranger.
Mrs. Grismore was preceded in death by her husband Mark and her parents. Survivors include her son Greg Grismore of Grove City, Ohio, and daughter Lori (Jon Dalton fiancé) Grismore of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons, Curtis and Grant Grismore; four sisters, Patricia Ward of Lima, Ohio, Lesley (Sean) Kennefick of Columbia, MD, Marla (Fred) Muccino of Ellicott City, MD, Rhonda (Steve) Thompson of Chicago and three brothers, Bob Spicer of Lima, Blake Spicer of Columbia, MD and David Spicer of Chicago.
Burial will be in Pandora Cemetery on Saturday, July 5, at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at St. John Mennonite Church in Pandora at 11 a.m. Rev. Lynn Thompson will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice.
