Casablanca Hall wins

Return Home
April 21, 2005 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Casablanca Hall, owned by Walnut Hall Ltd., Denim Stable, Mary Katz and the Lucky Shamrock Stable of Thoroughbred trainer Nick Zito and his wife, Kim, paced to a career-best 1:55.1 victory in a conditioned event at Pompano Park Wednesday night.

With Bruce Ranger driving for trainer Fred Grant, Casablanca Hall raced first-over but was able to edge pacesetter Cien in the final strides to win by one length. It was the first win in two starts this year for the 3-year-old gelded son of Cambest. Out of the mare Castleton Molly, Casablanca Hall is a half brother to the $500,000-winning Whittingham and the $667,000-winning Duke Duke.
