The betting favorites won the featured races at Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday evening with ease, each wiring their respective fields in the Open Pace and Trot. In the $9,000 Open Pace, True North Hanover took the lead from post position five with trainer Donnie Russell in the sulky. The 4-year-old gelded son of The Panderosa, co-owned by Russell and Edward Needle, cut quarters of :27.1, :57 and 1:25.2 to win by a half length in 1:53.1. Crazy For Ever finished second after making up ground in the stretch. Driven by Frank Milby for trainer George Bartlett, the 6-year-old Life Sign gelding closed with a sharp :27.3 last quarter.
Rounding out the trifecta was Uncle Bingo with Billy Mann in the bike. After pacing third-over nearing the three-quarter pole, the 6-year-old Armbro Operative gelding hit another gear in the stretch to finish just three-quarters of a length off of the winner.
Khifra Hanover was sharp in the $9,000 Open Trot, winning by five lengths in 1:55.4. Driven by Frank Milby for trainer Don Milby, the 5-year-old Lindy Lane mare led the field through well-rated fractions of :29, :58.1 and 1:26.4 to draw away in the stretch. Julianna Edwards owns Khifra Hanover. (Rosecroft edited)
