Champion horse cloned

A champion barrel-racing horse has been cloned—at a cost of $150,000 to his owners—and except for some white markings between his eyes the now 3-month-old foal is nearly identical.

Associated Press is reporting Scamper, a 10-time world champion who helped propel Charmayne James to status as the sport’s all-time leading moneywinner and is the only barrel-racing horse in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, was cloned by a Texas-based company. The young horse was named “Clayton” by James.
