Chancey Lady sat a pocket trip behind the pace setting A And G’sconfusion into the lane then swept past the leader and held off a late rally by Artimittateslife to win the $773,031 ( C ) Fan Hanover final in a casreer-best 1:51.1 Saturday night at Mohawk. Tug River Princess finished third, suffering her first defeat in 14 career starts.

Chancey Lady and Mark MacDonald sprinted to the lead from post seven down the front straight then relinquished the lead to David Miller with A And G’sconfusion at the :28.1 quarter. A Fiesty Affair and Jody Jamieson moved first-over going to the :56.4 half, giving cover to Tug River Princess and John Campbell.

The three quarters was passed in 1:23.4 and entering the lane MacDonald tipped Chancey Lady to challenge the leader. The Camluck filly brushed into the lead and withstood the rally by Artimittatslife and Brian Sears. Tug River Princess never fired off her second-over tip into the lane and was third for Campbell.
