Check Me Out, the 2011 Dan Patch 2-Year-Old Filly Trotter of the Year, was on the track at the Meadowlands before qualifying races Friday morning (April 13). Trainer-driver Ray Schnittker told Derek Giwner of the Daily Racing Form that he put the filly through a 1:54 workout mile which she did "easily."
Schnittker added, "She will qualify next Friday at the Meadowlands and then she might take a week off and qualify at Pocono. I wanted to give her two qualifiers before her first start and leave plenty of time in case of bad weather.”
Check Me Out's first start will likely be May 15 at The Meadows. The filly is by Donato Hanover and is thus eligible to Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, with the first leg for the division on May 15.
