Carl Jamieson, who owns a piece of the filly with the George Arthur Stable, Fred Brayford and Joanne Morrison, trains Checkouttheview, who posted her third lifetime win.

Checkouttheview seized the early advantage through a :26.3 clip, but odds-on choice Liberty Skiberty soon took over, cutting a half-mile in :55.4. She continued to show the way (1:24.2) until midstretch when

Checkouttheview, who sat the pocket trip, popped out and set sail for home for the well-deserved score.

"We got away good and she seems to excel with a trip like that," said Christoforou. "She had similar trips the last two weeks, but we couldn't get any racing room. I thought with a trip that she was as good as anyone in there."

Checkouttheview paid $10.30, $6, $4.20 across the board and combined with Quail Seelster ($6.70, $5.90) for $75 exactor. Jans Luck paid $12.60 to show and rounded out the $476 triactor.

Liberty Skiberty, the 3-5 favorite, faded late and finished sixth.  (WEG)
