Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association director John Klark and his wife, Janet, were seriously hurt in a single-car accident while driving back to their home in Vermont after attending the Breeders Crown program at the Meadowlands Saturday night. John suffered broken ribs and other injuries and was released from the hospital at New Hampshire’s Dartmouth University, but Janet remains in a coma as of Wednesday afternoon with both lungs punctured and severe swelling of her brain.

The accident occurred about an hour from their home. Harnessracing.com was told Janet was driving and lost control of the car, which witnesses then reported seeing roll over at least six times.
