After a one-week delay due to the horsemen's strike, Maywood Park begins its 60th consecutive season Thursday night. Since 1946 Maywood Park has conducted a live racing meet, the longest in the State of Illinois Standardbred history.

Post time at Maywood has been moved up to 7:20 p.m. (CST) each racing night.

The opening round of the Fox Valley Redhot will share the spotlight on Friday's Maywood Park card. This series is for ICF distaffers without four victories or $20,000 earned lifetime as of Dec. 1, 2005 .

Seven mares will slug it out in Thursday night's featured race, a $7,000 conditioned pace. The 2-1 morning line favorite is I'mgonnagetchagood, who dropped a neck decision in her last start on Dec. 28. The Jenna's Beach Boy mare earlier rattled off three consecutive Maywood Park wins.
