Chocolate Tiara takes top trot

Chocolate Tiara scored a 1:58 victory in the $16,800 Delaware trot and Allamerican Reason notched a 1:53.4 win in a $16,500 pace on Wednesday at Dover Downs. Tim Tetrick had four winners and Corey Callahan three.

George Dennis made good use of leaving from the rail as he took the lead early with Chocolate Tiara and sped away from seven rivals for a 1:58 victory in the day's feature trot. Harness The Power and North State Street Stable own the Malabar Man 6-year-old mare. Devlish Miss (Brandon Givens) was second with Game Speed (Callahan) closing for third in the race featuring seven females among its eight starters.
 
Allamerican Reason swept into the lead rounding the last turn and waltzed to victory in 1:53.4 for Tetrick's fourth win on the card. Fifth Wave (George Dennis) was runner-up. NF Rivers Edge (Brewer Adams) was third. Mike Hall conditions the 4-year-old altered son of Badlands Hanover for David Krol and Pohl Lander Farms.

Callahan drove Coletown USA to a 1:55 victory in a $12,500 pace holding off fast-finishing Delmer (Tony Morgan) in the stretch. Celii N (Frank Milby) closed along the passing lane to take third.

Callahan also steered Real Good Thing, a Cole Muffler gelding, to victory in a $25,000 claiming pace scoring a 1:54 triumph for Wendy Crissman and Robbins Next Farm. Max Power (Roger Plante) was second best. Eagles Together N (Tetrick) was the third-place finisher.

Kirby posted his second win behind Terri Lynch's Tale Of Desire. Off at 8-1, the Real Desire mare won a $12,000 Delaware mares pace. Mom's Toy (Ross Wolfenden), finished second and Badlands' Fury (Mike Cole) was third. (Dover Downs)
