Top 3-year-old colt trotter Classic Photo has suffered a career-ending injury in his paddock while being turned out in preparation for the Breeders Crown. Classic Photo won 10 of 13 starts this year, including the Stanley Dancer, Canadian Trotting Classic, Goodtimes, Review and American National, and finished second in the Hambletonian.



"Our team is extremely upset about this unfortunate event and our thoughts go out to the Classic Photo connections," trainer Erv Miller said in a release today issued by Kentuckiana Farms, where the son of SJ's Photo will stand stud next year. "Classic Photo laid it on the line in every race this year and provided great joy and excitement to all of us and his fans."



Classic Photo has career earnings of $1,447,004 and a mark of 1:52.3, taken this year while winning the Canadian Trotting Classic final.



Classic Photo is owned by H.W. Wright, Jorgen Jahre Jr. and Classic Photo Stable, which consists of Jack and Peggy Hood, Dennis Lakomy and Mystical Marker Farm.
