For the second consecutive Thursday night, stablemates Jim Jam Gigolett and Double Brand won at Saratoga. The Ed Clement trainees were each prohibitive favorites in their races and made good with relative ease. Jim Jam Gigolett recorded her third consecutive win by wiring the field at 2-5 for driver Dan Cappello Jr. while Double Brand trotted to victory in a career-best 1:59.3. The win for Double Brand was the sixth already this season, easily putting her into the lead amongst Saratoga horses, as the 5-year-old trotter has been doing her best work on the front end this season. On Thursday, Double Brand never encountered an anxious moment before reporting home a four-length winner on the night.
Both Double Brand and Jim Jam Gigolett still fit the classes of their regular wins and are sure to be forces in their next start as well. (Saratoga)
