Clinton the longshot at Harr

April 17, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Marjorie Richards' Clinton Longshot surged by the leaders late to win the featured $17,500 Delaware Special Monday at Harrington Raceway.

The Real Gregorie-trained 5-year-old Dauntless Bunny stallion settled off the hot early pace set by Skedaddle Hanover (Tony Morgan) who blitzed to the front with sizzling fractions of :27.4, :55.2 and 1:24.3, particularly fast considering the 40-mph wind gusts and wet track. Driver Ross Wolfenden outfought Hot Lather to the line for the narrow win by a nose. Art Director was third.

Clinton Longshot has now banked nearly $90,000 in 2007.

Drivers Ron Pierce and Tim Tetrick each won four races on the card. Trainer Josh Green conditioned three winners. (Harrington)
