One More Laugh and Rock N Roll Heaven are solid co-favorites in the first of two future wagering pools for the 2010 Little Brown Jug. The two colts are 3-1 following four days of wagering.

“This is a very close race and these two colts seem to stand out in the early betting,” said Phil Terry, general manager and director of marketing for the Delaware County Fair. “We had a lot of participants in the first pool who seem to like the future wagering contest.”

One More Laugh is owned by Mathias Meinzinger and Jerry Silva of New York and is trained and co-owned by Ray Schnittker. One More Laugh, who has career earnings of $1,518,920, won the $1 million Meadowlands Pace in a lifetime-best 1:47.4 over Rock N Roll Heaven. In his last start, One More Laugh was second to Rock N Roll Heaven in the $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine.Tim Tetrick is his driver.

Rock N Roll Heaven is owned by Frank Bellino of Bronxville, N.Y., trained by Bruce Saunders and driven by Daniel Dube. He avenged second-place losses in the North America Cup, Meadowlands Pace and Oliver Wendell Holmes to win the $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine. Despite sloppy conditions, Rock N Roll Heaven set a world record of 1:48.4 to defeat One More Laugh at Harrah’s Chester.

Confederation Cup winner Aracache Hanover is third choice (7-1) in the first of the two future wagering pools and Adios champion Delmarvalous (8-1) is next. The Field, which includes all other 3-year-old pacers, closed at odds of 23-1. Dr. Dreamy and Piece Of The Rock are the co-long shots at odds of 409-1.

The second future wagering pool will be from Sunday, Sept. 19 through Wednesday, Sept. 22, the first four afternoons of Grand Circuit racing at the Delaware County Fair.

“This is the fifth year our fans at the track will have the opportunity to  place wagers at the regular betting windows throughout the fairgrounds,” said Terry. Last year Jug champion Well Said paid $5.80 in the first pool, $6.60 in the second pool and $6.80 in the final.
