The Meadows has canceled racing on Friday due to extreme cold, with the temperature being reported at six below zero at 10 am, and the wind chill at minus 23.
The Meadows was scheduled to begin racing at 12:15 pm today.
The Woodbine Entertainment Group announced Thursday night that it was cancelling its slate of qualifying races scheduled for Friday morning at Mohawk Racetrack in Campbellville, ON.
